Local Offer Things to Do

There's lot to do for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities. This includes play schemes, after school activities, sports clubs and youth groups.

The Government have published a guide will help parents and carers choose a safe out-of-school setting for their children to attend. You can find it here.

Some activities are funded by Salford City Council and have been assessed so that they take place in fun, safe, friendly environments and are led by fully trained staff. Some groups are also open to siblings and/or parents. You will see the Local Offer badge next to these activities. The other non-badged activities have been listed by organisations independent of Salford City Council who work to provide accessible activities. These organisations will be able to advise you on the environment, facilities, staffing and adjustments in relation to the needs of children and young people with  special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Please visit the What's On page for featured events and a calendar of activites across the city.
