Salford Open Learning

Salford Open Learning (SOL) was established as a Youth Service project in 2012 and is now based at The Deans Centre in Swinton.

SOL is an educational provision, but with a focus on young peoples social, emotional and mental health.

Through our bespoke curriculum (which includes 5 GCSE's) and being part of the Youth Service we are proud to say that we help young people achieve positive outcomes for them and their communities.

The aim of SOL is very simple: to be an outstanding project offering the best education, experience, care and guidance for our young people.

Our academic curriculum is complimented by a unique wrap around student support system. We believe in having a partnership approach with both our students and parents. Our team recognises that our students are important members of society and as such strive to help them develop their creative, communication, cognitive and general life skills that they need to grow and move successfully through life.

SOL places its students at the heart of everything it does. The students also play an active part in shaping the project through its student voice philosophy.
