Support for Carers at The Fed
Are your responsible for the care of a loved one who cannot manage without your help? You may well be classed as a ‘carer’. The Fed offers support to carers aged 18 and over, who are looking after another adult on an unpaid basis.
Apart from one to one support and an assessment of your caring role and responsibilities, The Fed's adult community groups offer opportunities for carers to meet, socialise with and receive support from other carers.
The Fed also facilitates a male carers' group, both online and in person and occasional training and social events for carers.
Additionally, The Fed's volunteers services department offers a respite service whereby volunteers will sit with or take out the person who is being cared for.

- Notes
The Fed is the leading social care charity supporting the Jewish Community of Greater Manchester. As such most of its services are for Jewish people and their unpaid carers. However its care home, Heathlands Village and bathing service, Bliss, are offered to people who are not Jewish and in limited circumstances it offers support for children with additional needs who are not Jewish.
