Posters from the Irish civil rights era

In August 1969 political and sectarian unrest saw barricades erected in Belfast’s Falls Road and British troops on the streets.  People’s Democracy, a radical student movement, provided political direction and publicity through Radio Free Belfast and the Poster Workshop. This exhibition of extrodinary and beautiful posters show the messages of that time.

This exhibitions is open Wednesdays to Fridays 1-5pm, and the first Saturday of the month 10am-4pm.
