Extra care offers flexible care, with access to 24-hour care and support. So if you feel you or a family member feel you meet the criteria for extra care support please contact us and we can arrange for you to be referred for a needs assessment by the Social Services Integrated Care team.
Following this, you will be advised if you meet the specific criteria for extra care and will be placed on a waiting list before being contacted when a suitable vacancy becomes available.
Living in an extra care environment can help you maintain and improve your health and wellbeing and give you the opportunity to live in your own home whilst maintaining a level of independence that’s right for you.
In addition, councils may commission a care and support provider who will provide an on site support service available on a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week basis to those who need it.
Astley Court is an Extra Care scheme and comprises of 56 one bedroom apartments designed for independent living. The scheme offers access to care and support 24 hours a day and regular housing management support.
A range of events and activities are provided to support, maintain and improve health and wellbeing.
