Gaddum Carers Salford
Carers look after someone else who may be unwell, have a disability, poor mental health or be tackling a drugs or alcohol addiction. They do this simply because they care. Carers of all ages often take on practical and emotional caring responsibilities - such as domestic chores, emotional support or personal care for others.
Gaddum Carers Salford is an all age service, with dedicated support for:
- Adult Carers - aged 25 and over
- 18-30 year olds
- Young Carers - aged 5-18
Our support:
- Up-to 8 confidential support sessions (based on identified needs via assessment) in school or in a confidential space
- Statutory Carers Assessment - for carers over 18
- Advice, signposting and onward referrals to relevant support
- Informal advocacy at family core groups etc
- Invites to groups and events throughout the year - coproduced/ codesigned by carers
We are happy to receive referrals from professionals & family members if you feel the service may benefit young people you know or work with.
We need parent/ guardian consent to begin work with any young carers referred who may be under 18 years old.
