We are a specialist community eating disorder service for children, young people and their families.
We are based within several Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) across the Manchester, Trafford & Salford area.
The CEDS team is multi-disciplinary and consists of a Psychiatrist, a Family Therapist, Dietitians and Therapists with a nursing or social work background - you may see one member of the team or you may meet many, it all depends on your needs.
At an initial meeting we discuss what the eating and/or body image difficulties you are experiencing - we may do this with everyone all together or you can ask to be seen alone. We then agree together what the next steps may be in terms of help & support & decide who should be involved.
We can offer support and advice to schools, colleges, and other professionals as well as bespoke training packages about a variety of eating disorder and body image related issues to professionals, young people and parents/carers.
