Children's Outpatients Team

Your GP may refer your child to the Children's Outpatients team if they have certain medical conditions, such as:

  • epilepsy
  • asthma
  • diabetes
  • constipation
  • enuresis (bed wetting and/or urine incontinence)
  • ears, nose and throat problems (also known as ENT)
  • dermatology conditions (all conditions affecting the skin)
  • allergies

Your child may also be referred to the Children's Outpatients team to see a dietician or to one of the specialist feeding clinics. 

There are four paediatric doctors who all undertake weekly clinics, and community specialist doctors who see children with additional needs. There are also a number of specialist clinics delivered by specialist nursing staff.

If you have concerns about your child's development, or think your child may suffer from any of the above conditions, the first thing you should do is visit your GP. They may then refer you to the Children's Outpatients team for further investigations.
