Coronavirus update - online support

42nd Street, is offering help to tackle mental health issues that young people may be facing during the coronavirus pandemic by providing:

•    Weekly messages, which involves you sending messages to a worker throughout the week, and receiving a message back each week, at a time you both agree on. You can check your messages whenever works for you, and reply whenever is best for you.

•    Live text chat; which are regular sessions booked in with your worker where you are both online, talking via text chat for around an hour, similar to how a face to face appointment would work.

CAMHS and 42nd Street are keen to work together to support schools / colleges.

Refer into 42nd Street Pyscho-Social and Counselling Community Services in Trafford for 1:1 work using the relevant referral Form or use 42nd street staff in schools for consultations and advice. 

About our Service

If you are aged 13 to 25, living in Manchester, Salford, Trafford or Tameside/Glossop and under stress, or know someone who is, we might be the service for you.

At 42nd Street we believe that a range of different approaches can be effective in responding to young people's mental health needs and this is reflected in the variety of services we offer. As well as therapy, counselling and individual support, we offer a wide range of youth work interventions including groups and arts-based projects. All our services to young people are free and confidential.
