The UK Dragon Boat Race Festival 2022, organised by the Xinhua Chinese Association (XCA), takes place in Salford Quays on Sunday 29 May, 11am - 4.30pm.

Alongside the teams of dragon boats racing there will be lots of other activities including:

• a dragon and lion dance;
• Choral, organum and solo performances of Chinese folk festival songs;
• Solo and group dances;
• Folk music;
• Tai Chi, Gong Fu (kung fu) and Wuqinxi (imitation of 5 animals’ movements) demonstrations;
• Chinese arts (calligraphy and painting) demonstrations and displays; 
• Calligraphy (your name in Chinese);
• Hand crafts for children;
• Traditional Chinese Medicine introduction and consultations;
• Chinese food sampling
