Salford District Nursing Service

If you have a long-term health condition that needs managing, we can help you with treatments such as:

  • keeping wounds clean and dressing them
  • ear syringing
  • managing leg ulcers
  • removing stitches
  • palliative/cancer care

We can teach you how to manage your own condition better which should mean fewer visits to your GP or admissions to hospital. We can also check that you are keeping well and and answer your questions if you are worried about your health.

We work in health centres and Gateways. If you are housebound we can visit you at home. We also work in residential homes.

We support patients and families who have chosen home for their end of life care.

We work closely with social workers, therapists and your GP.

We work 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
