Dancing with Dementia
For the public benefit, to preserve and protect good health among people with dementia, their families and carers in Salford particularly, but not exclusively through the provision of a safe environment to hold regular meetings, to provide stimulation experiences through music and dance, to provide outside social trips and to give practical and emotional support, help and advice.

Dancing with Dementia host Music and Dance with Dementia at Humphrey Booths Resource Centre 16-20 Worsley Road Swinton M27 5WW every Wednesday 10.30 until 12noon. Stay for lunch in the Forget Me Not Café.

Initially the sessions were for people living with dementia, their family, friends and carers. After some research we found that isolation, loneliness and depression can be contributory factors to the condition. With that information it was decided that we would open our doors to anyone who felt low in spirit and address the needs and increase the wellbeing of senior citizens in the community.
