Salford Youth Council

Salford Youth Council represents and advocates for young people throughout Salford around political and social issues that affect them locally or nationally. Members can be elected to stand as a Member of Youth Parliament, Young Mayor, or a Greater Manchester representative. Young people can also attend a regional North West Youthforia meeting of young people which take place 6 times per year.
If elected you will be expected to attend more meetings, which can include residential trips, conferences, and if elected as MYP the UK Youth Parliament sitting in the House of Commons in London.
All your work with the Youth Council can be counted towards the volunteering or skill section of the Duke of Edinburgh award.
The Youth Council plan events and develop campaigns on issues which effect young people. 11 to 21 and live, work or are educated in Salford? WE NEED YOU!
