Springwood Primary School

Community special school

Springwood Primary School serves the whole of the City of Salford and provides specialist education for pupils aged 2 to 11 years.

Some of our pupils have profound, complex or challenging needs. We are based over two sites, one in Irlam - for pupils in Nursery and Reception pupils and one in Swinton - for pupils in Year 1 to Year 6.

Admissions to Springwood Primary School are controlled by Salford Local Authority. We are unable accept direct requests for placements from parents or carers or other local authorities.

Pupils who attend Springwood Primary have an Education, Health and Care Plan which outlines the area of need and what provision and resources are needed to support the pupil.

In rare cases, a child may be admitted on an assessment placement to determine what the pupils’ needs are and whether their needs can be met at Springwood.

We hope that you will find the information contained in our website valuable and that it gives you an insight into our school and the achievements of all our pupils.

We aim to provide the very best learning opportunities for all of our pupils and create an ethos of learning through enjoyment.

The school has created a virtual tour to show you around.
